Philly Playstreets provide haven amid poverty, blight, and drugs

The 2400 block of North Bouvier Street is one of 410 Playstreets this summer. It’s a little-known program that has spread over decades through word of mouth, mostly in neighborhoods where children don’t have the means to go to summer camp. The program also provide free lunches and snacks to the children on the participating blocks. (Read more.)
